Default I am new here and would like some advice.

I am new here. And I am completely unfamiliar with Everquest 1 as it used to be in 1999-2000.

I have been trying to get into this game for awhile but i had no luck in finding a simple method of getting the game in an accessible fashion, and it required me to use emulators and what not. Until I found this video which offered a download link to a Zipfile that has the whole game. (No idea if this is frowned upon on the forums though so tell me)

So I have the game, I unzipped it and installed the files on a new Folder in my Program Files (x86) and it recommends me that I launch the batch file. But I just wanna know if I installed it correctly.

(I wouldn't advertise publicly that you illegally downloaded something no matter how old the game is)

I'm just going to say this, make sure you really trust your source before running any bat or exe files. I'm not saying what you have is going to be a problem but you should verify the best you can before running anything like that on your computer. Good luck to you with getting things to work
