Default Group bugs have gotten way out of hand

They have been horrible. You zone out of a zone and can lose your group or show you are in a different group and then you might be in a group and the people in yourt group don't see each other or you. or the druid ports ( not using an evac and only ports half the group.. this is horribly bad..

Rather than make a new thread, I'm just going to bump this one. This bug is getting increasingly frustrating for me, especially when I die while in a group. I don't know if other people just do not have this problem or what, but this drives me insane. I've been paying close attention to what exactly bugs out, and I've narrowed it down to this:

I think it's best illustrated as an example.

I join a group in Solb. Group functions work fine in Solb. I zone to Lavastorm: group window changes, I can no longer see group chat, none of the other members can see my group chat, I cannot disband the group, I cannot be invited to any other groups, or re-invited to the group i should currently be in. At this point #refreshgroup does nothing. The only way to remedy this situation is for the group leader to kick me out of the group, and invite me back in, or return to SolB or enter another zone.

Some other things I have noticed:

Where ever I join the group, the next time I zone I ALWAYS bug out. But, if I zone again, or zone back to the zone in which i joined the group, everything works fine. It is only when I change zones from the zone in which I joined the group, do I bug. I would like to add here, than walking into another zone, gating, dying, or group porting all have the same affect in this respect. If I walk into Lavastorm I bug, if I gate to Commons I bug, if I die and port to Commons I bug, if I group port to South Ro I bug.

I am not very computer literate, so I'm trying to be as detailed as possible, because I'm not sure what information helps you, and what information is irrelevant. I hope I'm not just being redundant.

I would like to reiterate, because I'm tired of people telling me this, that #refreshgroup does NOT fix this.... EVER. I put this into a macro, and I type it out 100 times a day... It never does anything when I'm bugged. When I'm not bugged it just gives me a "you have joined a group" message.

It's a minor annoyance.

I've seen plenty of cases where, after a wipe, the members of the group are changed or we can't "hear" each other. That's the typical scenario. But I've got a slightly different scenario which I just witnessed. I'm sure the Devs have plenty of scenarios to analyze but I'd rather them have too much info than too little, so here goes:

- I got a bind in Gfay and joined a group in Mistmoore for a couple hours.
- I replaced my spot in the group, disbanded, and went back to Gfay to AFK for a while.
- For approx. 45 minutes I got no /groupsay messages at all (which makes sense, I wasn't in a group).
- Suddenly I started seeing /groupsay messages again from that MM group. Turns out the tank had died and returned to her bind point, which happened to be the zone I was in — Gfay.

Based on this I'm inclined to think it goes beyond messed-up pointers for characters or groups, it seems zone somehow plays into it as well?

Just adding my voice to say that there are a ton of group bugs like the ones mentioned in this thread, but it's not nearly as bad as it was when the server started [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
