This is actually extremely true, and we need like some 1.5 or 2.0 kid rate to make up for global consumption and without it youll have social and economic collapse (oh no whats what's actually happening)

Because we are a species that build, and this is what drives us, and our entire economy and social structure is reliant on repopuation. Russia, is a GREAT example of what happens when you slow down repopulation. Your society collapses.

I know it seems like, with less people it would be nicer, but it's not the way the human species works.

A great example of how we are doing the right thing is our progress in the last 60 years in terms of getting off this lpanet, and becoming a multi planet one.

This is good for long term human species, if you dont think so, (then I have a church for you to go to).

But we need to become multiplanetary because the death of this one is inevitable, so again, future population growth is not shortsighted, its extremely long sighted, while population culling IS extremely shortsighted.
