Question New Mouse Scroll Wheel Scrolls Too Much (MX Ergo)

Hey Experts!

Last night I tried to switch to a new mouse (new drivers, etc, checked updates), but the scroll wheel was giving me trouble. I wouldn't work reliably in EQ (outside ti works fine). When it did work inside EQ it scrolled like 10 lines instead of three.

I don't have access to check mouse settings in game right now.

Any clue how to fix this? I swapped back to my m570 and all is back to normal.

I would try adjusting the mouse scroll wheel settings within windows itself to see if that changes anything. If so maybe you can find a setting that works in game and is usable for other tasks. Some gaming hardware manufacturers allow you to create custom settings for individual programs.

It come with Software? Usually it is the DPI is too High or something. Sometimes can click the middle mouse button down or something to drop the DPI down by default, or download the software and change the DPI that way, having High DPI mice has no use in an older game, just causes software compatibility issues.

Have you tried plugging any other non-logitech mouse in (just long enough for Windows to recognize it) and then trying your logitech again? If you don't have another manufacturer's mouse, try uninstalling the mouse driver and then replugging your Logitech so it installs the driver again.

Plug and play is great - except when it doesn't work quite right...
