Is there any general consensus on how to get this guy? Who here has had success killing him on p99 and how/where did you do it? Most of the info I've found pertains to the live servers and I'm not sure that's to be trusted on p99.

it will spawn eventually - very rare, could take several hours

Did that on beta. I only killed wolves, skipped the giants and dervishes, and he spawned after a few hours.

Wolves + Giants share a spawn table. Dervishes do not. Kill everything from EW to the portal ring that is not a dervish.

Clear the area between the bridge to EW and the port ring. Kill everything and you will have a better chance to spawn him. If able round up a bunch at a time and kill that way you don't have to keep running around a few share the exact same spawn point near one of the skull block things so you clear a bunch then sit near there and when they all respawn rinse and repeat.
