Game Mechanics: Flying Kick Minimum Damage Above 50

Currently, the formula for level > 50 is:
min_dmg = ((level*8)/10);

This is correct for the time period after this late 2001 patch. I'm having a tough time finding data on what it was prior to that patch. The closest I have is this post saying that the min was 24 prior to it, but the post isn't all that convincing and doesn't specify for what level. Help!

In short the current math seems close enough to accurate. As far as the timeframe goes the min damage kick he appears to be talking about was after that damage table increase. I only started playing right before Velious and always remember the higher values but that's anecdotal. One thing that could be searched for is info on thunderous kick because I bet that monks were tediously working on figuring out the math of how the damage is calculated for that disc. Min damage thunderous kicks would be based off of the min damage flying kick.

From my Oct 2001 patch link:

The minimum damage done by Flying Kick will be greatly increased for monks starting at 51st level and scaling up to level 60.

The data from monkly-business abilities page and elsewhere is all after that change, as is our current formula. I'm more interested in what it was prior to being "greatly increased".

I was just checking out my logs from Fear yesterday. I came across this. I was soloing the pathing shiverback at zone in. I was fully buffed with around 250 Str/ 60 Monk.

I can't find anything pre 2001 patch that is listed. But Flying kick landing for 3s? Or anything below 49 damage? Is this how it was on live?
