My biggest issue so far is it’s not friendly to casual gaming. End up getting ganked most of the time.

That's true sadly people have gotten so good at UO that player-killers are incredibly effective. Back in 1998 they were still dangerous, but you actually stood a chance 1v1 because people hadn't min-maxed the shit out of all the game's systems yet.

Here for nostalgic gaming purposes. many EQ players were also UO players and this is what a classic UO player would be looking for in a modern version of UO.
