Wearing a mask to stop a virus is like putting up a chain link fence to stop mosquitoes. People aren't dropping dead all around, flu deaths are down 95%.

And why exactly do you think that is? Because people are staying indoors and masking up when they go outdoors because of covid.

Masks can not filter out a virus, the manufacturers state this on box.

How hard is it to wear a mask? You're a communist who believes that thousands of people havn't passed away. That's a horrible thing to write even if this is the internet. Flu deaths are down because people are wearing masks. Anything else?

Yes, they stop the bigger particles that some people spray out of their mouths when they breath, talk, sneeze... etc, effectively stopping the virus from traveling huge distances.

The science on this is pretty concrete.

It's fun going into public places without a mask and cough aggressively in people's direction

Literally is not concrete.

There is no study that proves or disproves mask efficacy against the spread of Sars-Cov-2. At best, we take the metadata of what we deem similar studies and postulate masks MIGHT help.

The CDC linked six studies regarding mask efficacy (a few months ago), two straight up say masks don't work, four say they did. All against other things, none of them against Sars-Cov-2.
