I lack the will and fortitude required for ALS. I need at least ass cheap 100p stuff in every slot, and those sweet delicious 0.4 weight bags of all types

On Live back when you could drop coins I went to a secluded place and dropped all I had for my new toon to pick up. Classic being classic, login went down or something and I couldn't get back in. Lost my life's savings.

This is July 1999, so it was probably around 50 plat.
I accidentally discovered a corpse duping bug on my 2nd week of playing. I suddenly had two Greater Lightstones and I was so thrilled that I could afford another spell for my level 8 or so wizard.

For the curious - I died to a mob trying to finish it off before the servers went down for maintenance, and got punted to login screen. When the servers came back I was still in EC (bound in FP) with all my stuff and a clothed corpse nearby.

People have always been cool about transferring items in my experience ; I am by no means rich and losing items to a drop transfer when getting help with one is so easy...well that’s not a pill I want to be forced to swallow. I just don’t understand why anyone would choose to drop transfer when getting help from another player is so easy.

I move stuff around a lot, and I usually drop transfer things out of sheer convenience and being cheap. I feel like when you ask a total stranger to transfer something you should tip them at least 50pp, 100pp or more if it's valuable stuff or multiple bags. Sometimes you ask someone and they don't have the open bag slots, or they don't respond, or whatever.

On the other hand, a drop transfer to 2 toons on the same account takes 15-20 seconds total, it's always available, and it's free. Having good spots no one has a reason to be in is essential to minimizing the risk though. That said, I never ground transfer stuff worth more than 10k.

This is common practice on the red servers to avoid getting YT'd

The convenience is undeniable I’m just paranoid of stuff “poofing”... call me crazy but having items disappear and then having no recourse is no fun

i drop transferred a fungi in the tunnel near shady, on the firepot with people around. until right now it was a great spot. i have found more than one person drop transferring, once i picked up their stuff and was standing there when they ran up, traded it to him, they did not find it as funny as i did. someone once found my bag and they gave it back semi reluctantly

Kittens helped me with a 20k item a while back - I tipped but they refused to take it.

There is still some hope left for the server. DaP will help too and will definitely take the tip of course lol

I was on SP3 and switched to SP2. Been switching all morning just to test this out and never crashed all morning, also fixed a weird resolution issue.

Kinda fixed the issue I was having. Before I camp, crash but get locked out for like a minute before being able to log back in and now that shit is just gone.

Hmmm Im kinda new here, but some people have asked me to hold items for them and I have done so no problem.

Do not see the point in stealing stuff from others in a such a small server, since you kinda get rep here, for good or bad.

Others are vouching for certain guilds, and asking you to better give items to others so they can transfer it to your other chars, which I believe would be the best choice.[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Do not tempt fate into doing illegal stuff, dont you think? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
