Default A New Kunark Map

As nostalgic as I am for the old cloth maps, I personally never felt as though they adequately represented the game world spatially or thematically.

So I've tried to make a more detailed map that roughly preserves the layout and orientation of zones while portraying the continent as a whole and avoiding some of the blockiness inherent in EQ zones. I love all things Iksar and Kunark so I'm doing Kunark first

Nice work! Looks fantastic.

When you say "I'm doing Kunark first" does that mean you're planning to do old world and Velious too?

Original EQ map had some of that as well,

The Northlands
The Hatchlands
The Frigid Plain
Waters Deep
Lake Neriuss
Gulk of Gunthak
The Buried Sea
Broken Skull Rock
The Dead Hills
The Nest
Unkempt Woods

Sounds like a good Rogean & Nilbog expansion.. hey its classic! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

My wet dream/boner crush is that the devs will make these zones for us instead of the luclin/israeldid911 timeline where all the zones that were cut out are implemented, I'm talking about places like the ones you mention and others like the Looping Plains on faydwer, a place I tried to find on original EQ and died horribly in both Dagnors Cauldron and Ak'Anon!
I know atleast Looping plains was implemented in some later expansion, but as stated, that was in the wrong time line...

Devs here could change the entire game by doing what was right, instead of ruining the game with female writers coming up with a gay ass moon where cat people lick their own assholes, they would expand on the old sweet map, adding the zones the map foretold!

They are points of interest in game. Lake of Dismay you will have visited at the end of your shaman epic quest in EJ. Dragon's Drool is the lake in TT.
