I think (not 100% sure) we managed to do wexit with 5 once with Draconite, admittedly not quite the same as HoT, and it involved some character swapping. Very slow kills. The more the merrier imo for wexit/hot as long as there isn’t too much social loafing.

The magic number is 15 for kills-per-hour : players ratio. Of course you can do HoT with less but it'll be a slow, painful endeavor with extremely high risk of deaths / wipes which destroys your drops per hour.

MT War
RT (Paladin pref)
3x Cleric
2x Shaman
2x Enc
3x Rogue
1x Bard (not AFK mana song, must go out for OOS)
1x Flex DPS (ranger, rogue, monk)
1x Puller (monk)

use bots for coths / sows outside / etc

The skill / awareness of your puller and slow team is what makes or breaks HoT farm sessions. Gotta make sure your DPS gives your enchanters enough time to sieve those gating and CHing merbs too.

You're welcome.

Thanks for all the replies, some really great info here! As far as what I mean about "meaningfully gear ourselves" just basically would it be worth our time to go in and do it. As Toxigen pointed out, the kill rate has to be high enough to justify the time spent, and that's basically what I was looking for. It seems like, while it can potentially be done with as few as 5-7, it's probably not worth the time or effort. Also, very interesting thinking about trying it in west, thanks to ripqozko and jimjam for pointing that out as an option.

Haha possibly, but considering the utterly abysmal HoT drop rate, Kael would be way way more lucrative if money was the goal. I'd be so slow and painful you might not even break even on the dots used, just to walk away empty handed after a few hours.

That's a collection that works real well until something goes wrong and there's no backup.

I think the OP was asking for meaningful, not the bare-bones slowly.

Two groups so you can take it easy and not stress every moment.

Seriously the hallway is easiest pulls in the game and ya need lot less to farm kael armor and logistics is easier. The hallway mobs are just bags of money sitting there. Just need a factioned pet train up and a bound caster to rip and gate after tank tags to make pull clean.
