Download the most recent patch, when you extract pick your EQ file location and choose the option “Copy and replace.”

Never a bad idea it copy to current EQ folder and setting it aside in case something goes wrong.

I have un-zipped the file and believe I placed it correctly in the Project99 file. Unfortunately I am still unable to play. What file am I opening it in? Is there a sup folder I should be looking for.
Thank you.

Make sure everquest is not running and then follow the steps below.

1. Download and unzip the latest patch file.
2. Open patch folder to see the many files and folders.
3. Select all of those files and folders.
4. Copy the files and folders using ctrl+c or from the folder menu.
5. Paste the files and folders into your main everquest folder using ctrl+v or from the folder menu.
6. Make sure that you select overwrite/replace files and folders when prompted. If you don't get a prompt then you are in the wrong folder.

You should keep a backup copy of a fresh titanium install folder somewhere. Then make a copy of your everquest folder and place it on your desktop. Update and play the copy on your desktop.

you ever solve this, mathlover? i have never had any issues with a patch, been using the same base files for 10 years now and with the v54 i'm getting the same error. i dug out the thumbdrive with the OG files and tried to patch in there and getting the same thing. deleted just the spells_us.txt and dropped in the new v54 version and still no dice.
