Did you guys know Golem wands are actually instant cast so Red is custom anyway. Should bows be machine gun dmg? Should buffs mean nothing if some neck beard farms Golem Wands? Should Bards actually be mandatory so everyone can have 20X run speed?
The thing with Classic PVP is people never gamed like they do now. It was new, people were experiencing everything and played to their personal style of D&D type settings. To match Classic Eq PVP feel, you need to break some of the mechanics that exist, such as Selos/Bows/Golem wands/Insta clickies PVP etc etc. They never anticipated it to be taken to this level of competitiveness? I played A Budding Classic EQpvp and noticed CT was restored perfectly, all mob placement, rubicite, totemic helm, all nameds/mobs are perfect bang on. Titanium with p99 files only no downloads necessary people should try it out with gear/50 during alpha.

It's like DOTA also in a way, once you reach a certain MMR you're with a bunch of nerds who watch youtube pros and "esports lol" shit. So if you don't pick the meta, or fairly close you eat 4 reports by south americans all day.
I was going pos 5 Lone druid, winning lanes by harassing, then going rat build and just ending (aghs/deso/mask of madness type shit) I went like 15-0? Or something dumb, but I ate 4 reports every game and people would cry and give up and like not play. Eventually I went LP and just stopped doing it, but my win rate was 100% with that strat lol. It's just a different era and I don't think big Brad thought some nerd would do whatever it takes to win elf sim.

Even when red had a semi decent pop, being euro it was often quiet (like it must be 24/7 currently)
Was always something free to farm or camp. Dream for anyone sick of blue , green, whatever

It was boring for me. I never saw any PVP, which is prob good since I wasn’t a twink. The experience was fast, but it felt pointless. It felt like playing EverQuest in single player offline mode.

I'm honestly surprised you don't see more long term Blue/Green players messing around on Red. With the grouping XP bonus you can level into the 50s in a few weeks of casual play. It's the perfect environment to challenge yourself on content with limited resources and a small number of players. Pure Everquest. It boggles my mind that people would rather zerg raid with 50+ other people to accumulate DKP to gear out their 10th alt instead.

VZTZ reborn is the future, VPS upgraded to 8 gigs memory, 80 zones static loaded, no dynamic zones, Knuckle has gone through and tested all the content, we got ourselves a box boys. Just need the people to believe.
