forum junkie since
yet I crave deep in my heart

From a guildmate:

60 ranger with self buffs, focus, and celerity (50% haste) parses against a cliff golem:
Blam/Swiftwind - 70 dps. Max hit 182. Average hit 50.
SBoZ/Swiftwind - 66 dps. Max hit 74. Average hit 33.
Both in the 5 minute range.
Not sure how much dps VoG would have added.

All high delay weapons vary a lot in dps. Would need to be a mean of a large sample of parses to accurately say.

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

iteration, lots
calculate the dps
blame hype is a lie

There are other variables that come into play such as mob level and ac, but if you calculate the pure weapon dps it is only slightly better than an Adamantite club on the main hand (for a monk). Addy club on the mainhand is 1.64 dps (not including the proc) whereas the blam stick is 1.775; putting it on par w/ epic fists.

Blame stick?

It's your fault people keep talking about this stupid new weapon with new threads about it instead of burying it.

You're also hitting a lvl 55 mob with Kunark level AC. I feel the parse would vary much differently against a lvl 63+ Velious target with their elevated AC levels.

True, the SBOZ would be much more consistent in that case.
