Default Skip Luclin & Add Planes of Power

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

No beastlords
No AA
No Cats
etc

Skip luclin and add Planes of power scaled down to classic levels and stats.
Atleast PoP got music!

heh.

I even disagree with player scrubs being able to kill Cazic/Innoruuk with their sissy swords and spells. Not much of a god letting peons strike you down.

Let me play as a Sarnak. Add EQ 2 content, then add Vanguard content, and then definitely patch in some Pantheon content.

PoK books are great. People complain it made the world feel smaller - and most of them are just druids whining they can't port for cash anymore - but the world had a hell of a lot more content at the time. You could do more quests, group in better areas, and spend less time accomplishing absolutely nothing. You still had the choice to explore.

PoP without beastlords sounds amazing. I freakin hate beastlords.

PoK books are incredible and help facilitate grouping in obscure locations. I’m far more likely to run to a Runnyeye group at level 10 from Crushbone when I can just click the Kelethin book and click the Rivervale book and be there in 5 minutes.

You don’t have to waste a Druids time for this sort of travel and you are able to adventure in many different dungeons you likely wouldn’t have on your leveling path due to how time consuming travel can be when you run.
The problem was, little things like this are what took away that feeling of EQ. You took away the need to depend on others, things that made classes unique... It's making things easier that ended up putting EQ on the path to everybody soloing.. The game started losing what made it special. Interaction with people.
