Default Old UI

Is there a way I can copy over an old UI from an old character to a new character I am playing with that new not quite Velious UI?

I believe your UI files are kept in the (surprise!) "uifiles" folder in your EverQuest directory. I also believe that you should be able to just copy that whole folder, or the individual folders for specific UIs inside of it, into a new EQ installation ... and it should "just work".

If you're just talking about placement of ui elements from one character in an installation to another character in an installation (i.e. you made a new alt and you want the ui to match an existing character), you want to copy these two files:

UI_<Character's Name>_project1999.ini
<Character's Name>_project_1999.ini

The first file is the placement of the UI elements. The second file has your friend/ignore list, and what abities/skills are mapped (you'll probably have to change those if playing different class...). You could skip this second file but i like copying my friends list over to a new character.

I just went in the UI Files directory and deleted Velious and it worked fine.
