GM events were fun but objectively unrewarding. Back in like 2000 i remember being selected to participate in a race from Qeynos Hills to rivervale. I actually came in third and received an artifact GM rewarded item that was a necklace with like +2 wis +5 dex no ac

I dunno, that one in GD was pretty rewarding. had a hell of a wiz staff that was given out IIRC.
