Crashing while zoning

WinEQ2 didn't work for me either... Will paste what info. you need tonight when EQ freezes while zoning again!!

I'm not sure what happened in the last 12 hours or so, but starting Friday night all the way to Sunday evening I could barely log on, get a server listing or stay connected while zoning. This morning, I logged on without a hitch and managed to zone 5-6 times without crashing.
Looks to me like everything is working fine now, I'll know more this afternoon when I have more time to test it out.

I don't know if you did anything Rogean, but I just ran from East Karana to South Qeynos and never had a problem zoning. I mean the zoning was fast and everything. I also logged into a populated server screen immediatly this morning. No retry or anything. It was awesome.

Only weird thing to note was: I gated from EK to NK, scribed a few spells that I forgot the previous night. I got up ran to the WK zone, when I zoned over I had one of the spell scrolls on my mouse cursor, so i put it into my inventory.. so it was a sort of duping? IDK it wasn't intentional. Every other time I zoned nothing like that happened though.

There was nothing I changed, but I suspect the firewall that handles the loginserver and p99 worldserver is having issue with udp packets and it resolved itself

Just crashed zoning into North FP. Had just logged in, was the first zone I made.

Has anyone tried turning off Texture Caching in options? I did this and it seemed to correct the problem, I haven't crashed since when zoning (about 4-5 hours).
