Vet coming back
I've always missed the old days of EQ, and once I heard about this, I jumped on as soon as I could so I could relive the old days. I played from mid 2000 to about 2006. Best gaming of my life, main was an Enchanter. Probably give that one a go again, or might try a Bard. Can't wait to jump back in, i'm excited!

Welcome back! My buddy and I are starting up as well - he's going Dark Elf Mage and I made a Druid yesterday. Currently level 3 in Misty Thicket. Name is Qopi.
Hit me up in game if you want to group or stick together.

Welcome back
Enchanters: most likely to die, get low health, have high hate, etc among all classes. C2 is best mana regen you get. No KEI here. Epic very hard to acquire. Bards: most valuable class end game, but has hybrid penalty so groups won't like you as much as ench. No melody and whatnot obviously. Epic very hard to acquire.

Enchanter and bard are great choices. I play both myself. As always do what you think is fun and don't worry about end-game. After all, it's about the journey, not the destination.

Yea when I played live, i was never a raider. I barely raided and just enjoyed making friends and grouping up. That's what I miss so much out of these new games, you're not made to group and everyone just goes on and does things alone. I still have friends I talk to from playing all those years ago on the other side of the country.

I wish I knew druids were useless at 50+ when I started, personally. Could have saved me some time.

A class is only useless if you don't know how to use it effectively. Sony wouldn't have made such a variety of classes if only a few of them were useful in end-game.
thefuture04: just ignore the doom & gloom players and do what you think is fun. This is a game.

I'll probably go with my first love, the Enchanter. Gotta control those mobs!
