Ah yes, hermit is great to get though a couple awkward 20-24-ish levels. Not the best, but certainly solid and you make a few bucks.

THIS is how you handle UGuk with fear kiting. It's what I did at exactly your level. Good luck once you leave there though. Haven't found a sweet spot for 24+.

Kunark is a goldmine compared to the old world for 1-30. 19-29 in Warsliks woods, giant fort. Lots of spots to group up or to solo. If you're lucky you'll make plenty of plat too.

If you really want to stay in the old world, though, either Oasis for crocs and/or orc groups, or gargoyles in OoT. Gargoyles will get you more plat, while orcs will get you levels faster.

Once you out grow either of these you'll be in the level range where you can hunt guards at your leisure until the 50s.

Two minute respawn, can drop FS and an easy solo camp until level 24 or so.
More like to lvl 27, after 24 you can kill him as soon as he respawns (2-3 minutes). Loot is allright too since he often drops fine steel.

I lurked around WW and LOIO around then. And then OT after that. Outdoors is where it's at so you can fear kite. Duos and trios are extremely good XP in those outdoor zones with a good necro (you).

Just an update as I'm currently leveling a shaman there. The exp is good till lvl 26, then it slows down. It's still okay, but up to 26 it was like 2x better. So recommended lvl 20-26, then move on.

I ended up finding a nice spot in WW, #7 on the map, to go from 19-20. It's 3 goblins in a small hut, all single pullable, no roamers.

This seems like a great place to go ~16-20, the Aggressors can be a problem though.

I then went back to Kurns and solo'd second floor to 21, it's really easy, Expulse Undead is a massive help. The Undead Crusader dropping FS Maces was a nice little money boost. My only issue is that, I haven't seen Kurns that empty since, there's often people being power leveled there which makes soloing kinda hard.

My other fear is getting a port out to South Karana only to have that hermit or the aviak guards in lake rathe camped constantly.

Aviaks in lake rathe are not super camped, I recently did 22-27 (I think) at them and most of the time I was the only one in the zone. There are also 3 camps of them.
