Looks like the people wearing shirts saying “fuck your feelings” were the real snowflakes all along. Happy for all the red hats and their new novel coronavirus diagnoses.

Peaceful transfer of power, started by Washington (who could’ve made himself king) has happened continuously for two and a quarter centuries. Trump is the first to challenge the legitimacy of our elections. That is very very bad, and you guys can pretend it’s just idle talk, but it creates doubt in our system and our institutions.

He doesn’t deserve to die, but he’s certainly the worst president in my 55 years of life. To pretend that opposition to his presidency is hyperbole simply because he hasn’t committed genocide is a very low bar

There's a good chance that if he's indeed positive they already started treating him with convalescent plasma and remdesivir.

This evening I am happy to report that the President is doing very well. He is not requiring any supplemental oxygen, but in consultation with specialists we have elected to initiate Remdesivir therapy. He has completed his first dose and is resting comfortably.
That's on top of the polyclonal antibodies.

One of the problems with this virus is that those who produce the exaggerated immune response also known as a cytokine storm, it's very difficult to stop. I would be surprised if he's not already on anticoagulation as well because one of the biggest complications of it is stroke. People have no idea the process involved in trying to slow down and manage this process in very sick patients.

My son has been an ER and ICU nurse prior to becoming a CRNA. I knew a bit about medications from him. As a virus, I suspected the inflammatory response was killing people, especially given how it killed the elderly, diabetic, and obese primarily. Does dexamethasone treatment in early illness stop it from progressing to the worst case, or do they just go ahead and start antivirals immediately when they suspect a bad case (trump being morbidly obese and geriatric)?

Imagine making excuses for the unimaginably wealthy fleecing your country without paying their part and then being an arrogant dickhead toward the poor who use the social services (barely) available to them because they can't make ends meet.

Oh shit, I'm on my way to put John Kerry in a chokehold or a neck-lock or some kind of hold where his excited fentanyl levels will surely cause his death later.

Decadron is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid. It's being used to stunt the inflammatory process that some patients are experiencing with covid. We've seen very good results starting plasma, remdesivir, and decadron immediately. Some patients receive solu-medrol over decadron. We're cautious starting remdesivir on patients with kidney injury a lot of times associated with sepsis. When or if it resolves we will start the antiviral. These are obviously sick hypoxic and/or septic patients requiring hospitalization.
