Default Mouse-over item names not working

Usually when I hover my pointer over an item on a corpse for example, it will give the item name, but it isn't working anymore..I have to hold right click and open up the item description to see the item name. any clue what could be causing this?

Restart your computer. Someone might have an explanation of why it happens, but a restart fixes it.

I have the same problem. I've restarted everquest a number of times but it does not solve it. Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Restarting Everquest isn't the same as restarting your computer.

Also, try killing Flash and flash-associated things in your task manager. That seems to work for me, but I'm not really sure why. Doesn't make all that much sense unless there's a direct conflict that it's killing.

For a while, having pending Windows updates screwed up my EQ mouseovers. But that hasn't been a problem for me in a while.

Default found a fix?

I had this problem FOREVER and i think i accidentally found a fix..

do the command "Release mouse cursor"
for me it is bound to shift+alt+R (under options-> Keys -> UI drop-down)

and after doing the above command the problem is gone.

Trying this next time it happens to me, its one of the most annoying bugs.
