Default P99 with VR (oculus rift s?)

I'm looking forward to playing casually on Green and am thinking about getting a VR headset (not specifically for p99). I haven't been able to find any posts/info about VR with p99 more recent than 2016. Has anyone tried this with any success? I think even a basic interface between with a headset (at least head tracking = turn) would be pretty cool!

On a related note, how does the titanium client do with non-standard resolutions? Like ultrawide monitors?

Ultrawide works fine.

The only VR anyone round these parts has figured out is to back your character up against a wall while wearing a helmet.

Please make VR p99 a reality, sir.

I haven't played around with any VR headsets or anything, but it seems like if you can link the head tracking interface to mouse with right-click (or even to the num-pad keys would be OK), then it would be great. EQ in first-person view seems to lend itself to VR pretty well. That said, if the titanium client is the only choice, it might be a mess to try and do any custom interfacing with that. I'll have to do a little research on what porting tools there are for it.

It will be a few months until I get my headset and I don't know how much time I'll be able to spend trying to get this to work, but I'll give it a shot and let you know if I have any success

I've played EQ in steam theater mode on my Vive.

I havent played p99 in true VR, but I have played it on the rift on virtual desktop (the 3rd party app that you can use laying down not the shitty one built into oculus home)

Oh, how is it? Would you recommend a vive over a rift s?

Cenro - how is it in virtual desktop mode? Do you think it's possible to set it up in true VR and would it be any good?

Hard to chat because the vr controllers don’t do anything useful in theater mode and cannot see the keyboard.

I'd probably just use it more for exploring / soloing and play with a monitor/keyboard in groups and stuff. Although, I can type fine without looking so might be worth a try...
