We were talking about the way global poverty was accounted for, which went right over some of your heads.

In America, a lot of people can do a lot of higher paid jobs out there if we taught them to do them. But we mostly try to keep those pathways secret so only those that "fit in" qualify. Its mostly social BS.

That and everyone could just do them without pedigree social sorting show -- they wouldn't be high paid for very long.

Socialist nations are among the most ethnically homogenous countries in the world. You dont get to claim some sort of moral monopoly on anti-racism. In fact, judging by the enthic makeup of socialist countries, i could generally say they're ethnically exclusive with extremely ethnocentric immigration policies.

Most of the nordic countries which have heavily socialized require you having a blood relative no more distant than 2nd cousins, who will vouch for you unless your granted "refugee" status, and even then some of these countries still refuse/throttle inflow of refugees. There are also substantial educational requirements.
