Alacrity - how do you pronounce it?
Well? I was looking up something on youtube and someone said it weirdly, or so I thought. But they were American, I'm English.
So, which do you use? Just curious. alak-rity ala-kritty

Thankfully on this occasion the consensus seems to be what I use, "alak-rity" <3 [You must be logged in to view images. My favorite British reshuffling of syllable emphasis is in "advertisement".
American: ADvertisement British: edVERtissment Although, in retrospect we Americans are the ones doing the reshuffling.
