I think blue should be switched to discord style permadeath during memorial day to help us appreciate what others sacrificed for us.

Server doesn't need double xp anything. More level 60s will just compound the high end problems. Being level 60 isn't necessarily more fun - I've actually found it to be the graveyard my characters go to collect dust. The fun was always the road to 60.
Oh yeah, and double xp times historically bring out the worst in people - overcrowded zones and petty squabbles abound.

Always amusing to see things like somebody who is closing in on four level 60 characters explaining why the guy who started a month ago and has one level 30 shouldn't want a bonus xp weekend because being higher level "isn't necessarily more fun."

Pardon me for sharing my experiences with the guy who's been playing for a month. If you're playing p99 for the level 60 game - you're barking up the wrong tree. If you're gainfully employed, have a family or a few friends ... you're not going to find much success or satisfaction trying to raid here.

Now that the Chardok puppy mill has been shut down (pras) double XP weekends actually makes sense for new players.
but I would agree that being level 60 is overrated - EQ is all about the XP and loots - it gets significantly less fun at 60 | ||
