I tried downloading WinEQ2 and the resolution is garbage with it. If I set the resolution too low, my screen is completely cluttered with the interface windows. And if I set it too high, the text is blurry and can barely be read. So I am just using the normal client.
The affinity is set to just run EQ on one core.

What resolution are you running on your desktop and in game? Also I know its a far stretch but sometimes works is compatibility mode. (xp sp2 or lower revision)

Thanks for the replies. I had to literally play around with the compatibility, desktop reso and in-game reso for 30 minutes before I could even play the game. It simply wouldn't allow me to enter the game under certain compatibility and resolution settings. Currently my desktop is set to 1440x900. And in game is set to 1280x768. It's running under Windows XP SP2

Is important to note that Eq was not designed with wide-screen monitors in mind as they didn't exist back then,or at least not used widely by the common market.
You may have to play a little more with the resolutions to get it to where your happy and still able to play. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I understand fully. But the fact that it is even an option for the resolution setting leads me to believe that it should and could be working properly, and shouldn't induce crashing.
[Edit] Heh. I minimized out of game to check forums, and when I re-maximized the client. Full black screen. Had to control alt delete.
