Keeping HP even while charming.
I've been doing a lot of solo charming on my baby chanter and I'm having a hard time keeping my pet and the enemy as similar HP pools. Is there a trick for this? One of the biggest slowdowns I have is using a ton of mana nuking when one mob is still at 40% post fight. Once I get clarity it might not be as bad but right now it's causing a lot of down time.
How do you handle a pet that dies too fast? How do handle one that's too strong?

Not sure if you have access to slows / hastes yet -- if so, that is one way to "swing" the battle to more-even grounds. Probably not as mana-efficient on shorter fights though?

Quote:
If Pet HP > Mob HP
If Mob HP > Pet HP
At low levels, root does not last very long, so you can always wait til your pet is low, and then charm the remaining mob (if at like 40-50%) and use it to agro another mob. At high levels, when you get efficient, you can effectively increase XP by sending a charm pet into a pack, rooting it all, then breaking and killing your pet when it's low, and then charming another mob in the pack.
