Rogue - Halfling or Gnome ?
I currently have a halfling rogue at about lvl 24, but have been holding off on leveling until my druid is a bit higher in order to finance proper gear. Now that the druid is almost 'done', I'm considering rolling Gnome instead. Any reason to pick one over the other once at 60? I'm aware of the starting stats, but plan to at least moderately twink from the starting gate. Also never played a gnome and want something a lil different [You must be logged in to view images. Gnome because I need to rub a gnome's head to feel alive.
But seriously, wall vision. Tinkering is kinda fun. Halfling starter traits quickly lose any worth since all rogues get sneak/hide.

Halfling on blue (best stats)
Gnome on red (wall looking) Halfling on red if you plan on ever seeing a Gnome mask those are the min/max choices, out of any rogue race. the typical barbarian/dwarf recommendation is outdated with velious, as str is trivially easy to cap now and if anything its harder to drop STR points once capped than to get more. all the races are about the same though, no major difference, play whatever race you think looks the coolest. any race will cap all stats in end game gear. the hardest stats to cap are stamina, followed by agi and dex (when primal is not procced) and agi isn't even really relevant to blue players. consider that with starting stat allocation and race choice if you're making this character for raiding. starting stats should be max sta w/ leftovers in dex for raiding for any race, but casual players should consider half str half sta on a gnome if you're more focused on 1-60 than the end game.

Gnomes get to wear sweet robes http://wiki.project1999.com/Robe_of_the_Azure_Sky
Gnomes get tinkering. Halflings have a cooler home town/newbie zone. Halflings get 5% exp racial bonus (worthwhile until you hit 60, then it does nothing) Halflings have wall look too (not as wide of a field of view as gnome, when naked, but there are illusory ways to expand it). Halfling base starting stats (before 30 bonus points) +10 str, +5 sta, +10 agi, +5 dex, -10cha (comparing base stats to Dwarf or Barb though, halflings and gnomes are seriously behind).

You don't need to be a gnome to get the better wall vision of a gnome. Use an illusion mask, click off the illusion, and your halfling is now gnome-sized.

Why not dwarf?
Make sure you pick Brell for your deity for either dwarf or gnome.

Gnomes are way cooler. Too many halflings on the server (mostly cause druids), and not enough gnomes and dwarves.

I think after staring at the back of a halfling druid for so long, gnome is going to be the choice here. Not quite sure what wall look is though... does the gnome model allow you to look through walls or something?

halflings can do it too, but not as well without a shrink.
