Bad Idea for EQ pvp.
Reasons: It does not work with the unique sandbox nature of the game and breaks lore/itemization The longer it takes to get to 52 to get crushed by a 60, the more disappointment people will have when they realize they can be trak toothed and root spammed to death because they joined the wrong side.

Not that I expected to get a mature discussion here but I'll just point out that nobody has even attempted to argue that the premise of my original post is incorrect.
So to the devs, assuming they read this, I have to ask what is the point of starting a new server if you aren't even going to address the core reason why the old server ended up with just a handful of hardcore players? You can stick your heads in the sand and pretend that this isn't an issue. Ok. If you want to pretend that gear imbalance doesn't matter on a PvP server that's your call. But when the population crashes back down to the same 80 or so people who are still active on the existing red server---then what? What will have been the point in starting a new server in the first place?

I dont think they play on red, they dont have perspective and seem unable to pick on feedback players provide them with.
