Default Which Bard Weapons should I get

Currently Have
https://wiki.project1999.com/Wakizas...e_Frozen_Skies
https://wiki.project1999.com/Melodious_Truncheon

Looking at
https://wiki.project1999.com/Sebilite_Croaking_Dirk estimated cost: 4000
https://wiki.project1999.com/Breath_of_Harmony 1200 (procs at 50, only level 37 atm)
https://wiki.project1999.com/Skyfury_Scimitar 4000
https://wiki.project1999.com/Guardians_Mace 760 (procs at 50, only 37 atm)
Also guardians clashes with making them less usefull but that's not the end of the world.

Breath of Harmony isn't a proc, you have to click it while not singing other songs. It's still a great ratio MH though. My bard has BoH and Guardian mace as melee stuff but a lot of the time you're better off with instruments.

BoH and Guadian's Mace is the quintessential combo. Pretty boring, but cost effective.

And both overall better than wakazashi even before I can proc them? I have a rough idea comparing two weps dmg and delay but never sure how to quantify the benefits of procs...

So again BoH doesn't proc. It is a clicky. But yes those two weapons are much better than wakizashi of the frozen skies even without the procs/effects. As a mid to higher lvl bard you have no incentive to be procing at all. The extra aggro is super unnecessary (likely counterproductive) and the added damage is entirely of no consequence by level 37. Moreover, as you level you should be meleeing less and less, due to the fact bards deal comparatively little melee damage, while far and away the main value add is the songs.

Cool, thanks you've convinced me. Shame I love seeing that proc but oh well.

So I'm a dick and should really buy those weapons next or the armor ive shortlisted.
But I fucking love clickies and stupid shit so im now saving up for a lute of the howler instead having just blown all my savings on neriad shawl.

But after that I'll get those weapons... I guess the argument is those weapons would make me stronger so I'll afford the lute sooner overall. More effecient that way...

You say you don't melee as much as higher levels, but to be fair I'm not that high level, which is why I can't proc or in BoH's case click.

Apparenly werewolf gives haste...

The lute is definitely cool. I mean you do you. But if you want to bring prioritization into this, the correct thing to blow your money on is drums, imo

Weapons don’t make you stronger as a bard instruments do, neriad shawl is great fashion though so not a waste of money, even though those rot quite often so not sure why anyone would pay for one.

I would say lute of the howler, drums of the beast/selos drum of the March, immaculate shell horn, singing steel helm (clickie eye of zomm), shrink pots, sow pots are going to be your most notable things you can buy, after that you want Ac/HP/resists. When I’m playing an alt and see a bard with weapons out I just SMH. There may be an argument for it before lvl 32 or so but after that point seriously weapons are POINTLESS unless you have epic
