Default Symbols not appearing in typing.

Hey folks - I re-read the guides and took at gander at some posts/threads in this sub-forum and cannot find an answer for this directly.

1) Yes, I already did the full uninstall, delete, reinstall.

--------------------------------------------------------
Problem: When I attempt to type in chat - I cannot make certain, basic symbols appear: + - = ' "
And a few others - but, mostly those. '.' and ',' appear just fine - but, not the others.

Any ideas on why? And moreover, how to fix?

IR devices are known to cause similar issues. If you have one, change your driver to an HID-compliant one.

Hmmm.. I checked what I knew to check and everything is listed/labeled as HID-compliant across all devices. I'll try running a tweaking repair to see if any are listed otherwise.

Do you have a Logitech Keyboard?

I have had the same issue with EQ since I got the keyboard. The only way to fix it is to disable the keyboard driver which in turn disables a lot of non-standard keys on the keyboard like volume control among others.

I tend to just use * in place of " and I'll type out plus or equal rather than the symbol. It's cumbersome but it works.
