Don't worry about rerolling unless you really want to be a halfling. Don't worry about money, just sell or use bonechips and crushbone belts and pads for exp or plat for spells. Can also ask players for some plat for you spells, p99 is in general a very giving community to new players.

Just work on levels druids make ez money on this server with ports
Someone did give me a velium great staff the other day! I tried to do the mail quest but it wasn't much gold for the hassle of the run between Felwithe/Kelethin. Might be better with a sow (the irony).

Good advice on porting, its going to be a long journey to the 30s though!

Default qeynos

I would give a thumbs up to the qeynos area for good starting xp/money. I found those rabid wolf/bear and then bandit sash quests to be insanely good money and free xp. i had 1000 plat in the bank at 20th. I didn't even do thethe gnoll fang part...doh!

Made it to level 8 so far around Greater Faydark but its very busy at times - is Qeynos/Blackburrow any quieter? I haven't done any adventuring in Qeynos in probably 18 years now

Blackburrow is still good up to level 13 or 14 in my experience. Things will mostly be green or sometimes blue to you, but the gnoll fang quest will give you 2-3% exp per fang I believe. Could probably squeeze some more out of it, but at that point I found bandits and rabid bears over in West Karana to be better.

Yes moved myself to the Karanas! There's a guide up on charm killing in East Karana but it's difficult at 16, hard to find a spot where there are less adds or no guards.

Rule of thumb in eq outdoor zones - to avoid adds pull to a side wall or Identify an area without pathers ahead of time and pull to there

8 stacks of bone chips will get you no where near level 11. It's 40 turn-ins which cannot be more than 400% exp (there is a maximum amount of exp you can get for any action, which is why turning them in at level 1 is not a good idea. iirc that max is 10%). 8 stacks -might- get you from 2-5. That being said, it's still one of the best exp quests in the game.

He said 28 stacks, but accidentally tried to capitalize the 2 in 28, which is where the @8 came from.
