Completed by 2nd Triathlon.

Swam poorly. Averaged 21mph on the bike over 15 miles. Ran at 8:11 for three miles. Finished 2nd in my age bracket. Two mode scheduled this year.

Nice work. Everyone swims poorly it’s usually pretty neglected.

Yeah I swam a decent bit in open water. Was always super relaxed in the water but on race day I think the crowd and excitement got to me. Swimming in a pack is also way different.

Bought a dehydrator to prep for a couple weeks hiking and car camping around Iceland. They’re pretty fun to play with, and I might have went a little overboard. Been running it nonstop for over a week, but now have quite the feast prepared.

Sheppard's pie with beef
Chicken jambalaya
Quinoa burrito bowls with both chicken and beef
Beef spaghetti
Chickpea veggie curry with chicken
Bunch of breakfast oatmeal with dried fruits and powdered milk
Pile of homemade beef jerky
Dehydrated apple, apricot, and banana chips
And my favorite, homemade fruit roll ups
Couple of ramens and mixed nuts added in for snacks

That is rad. I have wanted a dehydrator for a long time but never got around to it. I made jerky on a window sill once, but I'd love to play around with dehydrating my own fruits.

Dehydrated spaghetti though? I can see fruits and jerky and stuff but I think I'd draw the line at dehydrated spaghetti unless was made by a company that knows what it's doing (like MREs or something).

What does it taste like?

Pastas work great for dehydrating. Remade some spaghetti this morning it was quite good. followed this guys recipe - https://youtu.be/2k51klGGhnY

There’s a million different recipes on YouTube for dehydrating. I even dehydrated sour cream and salsa for my burrito bowls.

You can also use your oven to dehydrate if the temps go low enough. Need around 55-60C, or about 140 freedomeagleheit. I made my jerky and fruit strips in the oven. Easy way to try it out.

With the vacuum sealer I’m pretty sure these last for months, probably even a year.
