Its needs to be Pro version and not RT version. Not sure if Surface 3 even has RT version but probably not so you should be fine.
Surface 3 is a full Windows 8.1 Operating System, RT is finally done with.

In regards to OP, it should be able to, the $499 one has 2GB Ram and $599 on has 4GB Ram, both have Intel Atom Processors which are Tablet processors but probably can still power P99, not positive if they are keeping it 32 bit or 64 bit on this one. The Surface Pro 3 has Intel Core Processors so are much more powerful than the Atom.

I would say, yes it can run it.

You just might have some lagging issues running it and trying to do other stuff, my i7 surface pro 3 runs it perfectly, good little tablets these surfaces are!

God I would think with a little work you could run EQ on a Cell Phone lol. I mean how powerful was our computers in 1999?? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] And dial up to boot.

I guess if you pretend you were a Bard and turned everything down to min and turned off a few things I don't see why it would not run on about anything in this day and age as long as you have the storage ability for the files. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

So I can run p99 on my surface pro 3, it has an issue where the game is so small though, like the screen is so good that p99 is like a 2inch by 2inch square in the top left, lol. You can do it with some resolution tinkering though.
