Bump 3+ months old thread. Is this spell line not a priority, or just tough to fix, or not in the cards at all? Inquiring enchanters want to know!

My guess would be no one is quite sure how to tackle it. When dealing with faction from a Dev stand point: Surgeon General Warns, faction may cause herpes, cancer, IBS, arthritis, high blood pressure, and death.

But yes, this is still an open issue and not "rugged".

As an update/reminder: Alliance still not working, doesn't change faction at all.
But Illusions work great for changing faction!

I thought benevolence at least was changed a while ago (part of the same spell line)

Also I know I used my alliance wand as soon as I got it and didn't agro the NPCs in solro.
Is it just the faction that's not changing for you guys?

Alliance worked find for me, used it on guard ackmin when he was threat to me and took him to dub. Meant i could afk safely in NFP ;p

I know bene works, used it in SolRo, but if it is resisted you are toast. Tried to use Alliance from Rod of Insidious Glamor on a merchent in freeport, it took but I didn't get any faction boost that I could tell.
