Default Spiked Seahorse Hide Belt vs Cloak of Flames?

Spiked Seahorse Hide Belt vs Cloak of Flames?

Which one should a Monk strive for?

34% haste vs 36% haste.

One is double the money.

The extra 25 HP can't be worth that extra 20k, can it??

Cloak of flames also allows using better belts.
HP wise, seahorse belt + hiero wins out.
The 2% haste means a lot at 60,not a lot before then

You will not notice a difference. Get the seahorse belt and use the extra money to focus on other things like fungi, tstaff, resists, etc.

So maybe I'll get Seahorse belt, then when I hit 60 and decide to min/max, I'll get CoF.

I still need to buy a Fungi tunic and a few more items like a 2hander.

Or get a COCW and give up the 50 hps for 20k and keep the haste.

If you are strapped for cash the Seahorse belt is the way to go. CoF is a huge price hike for a small upgrade. It should be an eventual goal of yours when you are struggling to find upgrades, but the money you save can be used for other items that will get you more bang for the buck.

34% haste is the cutoff point for getting the 50% delay decrease for most weapons, unless they have a really high delay. After 34%, haste is only half as effective at giving you gains. Basically that 2% difference between CoF and Seahorse is only improving your delay by 1%.
