Default Best way to play on Mac without Wineskin Winery?

I've always played on mac and I updated the OS at one point and Wineskin has never worked on the OS since. It's been probably a year since I've gotten to play because of this and I'm getting the itch to EQ again [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

What's the best way to play on mac without Wineskin?

I'm about to grab a $200 PC off FB marketplace just for p99.

Probably just need to re-compile Wine for(against) your updates. I would think there should be a walk-through on how to do this, since Wine is open source.

edit - BTW, just noticed your sig. Your YT vids are a great inspiration for grinding more on Ench.

Come back and update if you figure it out. I never managed to get it going for my mac either.

I finally figured this out after trying for a few days. First off, go to properties on "eqgame.exe" in your Everquest folder and make sure it's set to compatibility for service pack 2. Then check the 'run as Admin', go down to arm emulation and make sure it's set to 'safe' emulation from the drop down. Then move your Everquest folder to an actual folder off the C: drive (this is essential or you will get an error) for example Program Files or Program Files (x86). Now, create a shortcut and send it to your desktop from the eqgame.exe. Go to the new shortcut and open it up with properties and add 'patchme' to the end of the command line.

There you go. Edit: This is through parallels BTW

How did you deal with resizing the UI? My big issue was everything was tiny.
