$15 back in 2000 is about $22 today. Add to that the probability that Pantheon's player base is likely to be older than EverQuest's circa 2000, I think they could easily charge $20-$25 a month and probably should.

While I would gladly pay 30 bucks a month or more for a game that really captures EQ. But that would be consigning it to a slow death right off the bat. Not everyone has that to spare each month, and most people are not going to risk a new game with that high of a price tag unless they know they are going to like it, or are willing to give it the benefit of the doubt like those of us here.

What I WOULD like to see are free2play servers and pay2play servers ala stormwhateverthefuckitwas back in the day. I would gladly pay a premium to stay away from the free2play 12 year olds spamming chuck norris jokes and cuck all day long.

This would appease both groups IMO. We get a good player experience, but the devs get more exposure and money from that.

Even if they upped the monthly sub to $20 (19.99) it would be good imo. 25% increase on the revenue vertical while still only being a few bucks more expensive.

Someone let Brad know I've given him the OK.

Most of us nerds are okay with 20 bucks a month... but that is pretty damn steep for someone on the fence. 40-60 box price plus 20 a month? Three months in you could have bought a game already, 60 is the standard price for new games these days. Fifteen a month is a good price, I would be surprised if it went higher.

It's like the man said: readers read books, and you can't pirate those. Well, I mean technically you can ...
