Your RElationship TO Your CHARacter
What is ur relationship like to the character that u play on P99.
Do you see yourself as your own character? Like, the character as an extension of urself, or an avatar of urself personally in game? Or is the character a tool with which u interact with the game, i.e. no investment of self or ego into the character? If u are a man and you play a lady character, do you take pleaseure in 'PLAYING' a lady? Is this pleasure derived from controlling a lady character or from investing part of ur personality into another gender? Is there internal roleplaying involved in ur relationship to your character? I.e. when you play a wood elf warrior, are you interneally feeling like 'i am wandering in this forest', 'i am fighting this orc', etc. or are you sitting from the outside watching like 'i am controlling this thing on the screen', 'this game is outside of me and i am actively aware of it', i.e what is ur level of immersion?

I don’t usually create a character that reflects me in game. Usually I like the idea of being a silly cute gnome or a gross dumb ogre, but when I made my Rogue I knew I wanted him to be my first ever lvl 60. In order to accomplish this I decided to create a character that more closely reflected myself. I am in no way an elf or a thief/rogue but I do relate to the racial lore and character in general. It did work as I was more interested in progressing and continuing the journey.

A lot of people will be in denial about their immersion levels.
I like playing a pretty character because I like being pretty. But like.. I am not the character lol. I don't get as immersed in troll or male characters because they don't reflect my personality or aesthetique. Like.. I don't really enjoy wearing denim irl. But I've some gorgeous dresses and cute AF outfits. But maybe I could do the cowgirl thing. Sometimes I get pretty immersed with what I'm doing in game, like doing faction quests or talking to NPCs or like getting annoyed at Lashun.

Yeah, I have a million goofy alts. Including a troll (goes against my imteneral preferences). But she's got 75 or 80 base charisma.
I did used to play gnomes a lot when I was younger. And I want to get into another iksar, vah shir, or guktan larp. They are quite fun in concept! Being able to wear robes is cool. Wow is great cuz of all the transmogs. Fashionquest is key to my enjoyment I guess.

Barbies are sorta annoying.
Humans ok. Erudites I'm on the fence. DE is legit lols and cool both male and females. Tho so sexist. Uhm.. probably ogre and dwarf and halfling is the worst. Yikes.

Just another character in a story I’m never gonna write. I do get immersive mentally with some quests. Like when I’m going to bed I’ll see my character and the quest box’s talking but it’s way more vulgar and comedic.

Particularly on my rogue, to the extent that I get super uncomfortable with the wrong avatar, my characters are me. I used to play a wood elf dude on live and I remember being so jealous of the elven women. So that's all I played as here and there was never any elf body dysmorphia this time around.
