Default EQ Basic V.02 - A EQ Graphics Overhaul

EQ Basic:
This is an EQ graphics overhaul for all zones/models/spells. I really enjoyed making this project and the community here for helping me with a few pieces. This is still a work in progress, so any bugs or criticism you have is welcome. All zones models/weapons/spells have been completed and at this point there will be small adjustments as needed. I will release kunark/velious as they come out as well. The download link is below a long with a few screen shots of different areas. I would love for you guys to explore your favorite zones and let me know what you think. Also if you'd like to share your own screen shots, I'd appreciate it.

Download Instructions:
Copy your EQ Folder and then overwrite all files w/ the file below. Once in game, please change spell opacity to 75% or lower. This is very important.

I just downloaded the game. Haven't played in years. Do I just need to overwrite the current game files with these? Kind of like the "P99Files52b" patches in the setup guide?

Exactly like that, but please create a separate folder and copy your installation just in case you don't enjoy the overhaul. Also please turn opacity down to 75% for spell effects or lower.

Might I suggest creating a wiki page to show this off, rather than a forum post? You could actually display all those images side by side, at whatever size you want, so people could see everything just by scrolling and not have to click, click back, click, etc.

http://wiki.project1999.com/Players:Technical would be the ideal place to create a basic summary entry for it, and then you could make a link from there to a full page with all your screenshots.

I will do this. Gotta figure out all the ins and outs, but I will definitely do that. Thanks!

Would you be willing to help me with some of these entries, I don't want to mess anyone else's work they've posted.

PM me any questions you have, but it should be easy enough to hit edit, not delete anything, and add a new entry following the pattern of previous ones [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

But again, if anything is unclear just ask.
