Rogean, question. Since it's still reachable, is there away to replace that zone file with the current one? And if so, what's the zone file name, and just out of curiosity, how is it tied in with the client?

Thanks.

I absolutely loved loved LOVED doing the EQ tutorial.

Sometimes when the server was down for a patch I'd play the tutorial just for fun.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

The zones have always existed, they never went anywhere, never got changed. It's just a matter of booting that zone server side so it can be zoned into.

Infact, several other servers utilize those zones for custom content.

I'm thinking of maybe turning that evil side of the load zone into a prison for wrongdoers [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

My bad, i asked the question while in a meeting at work.. heh.

What I was trying to ask is,

Is there a way to switch the current player selection zone back to the original one?

Probably not without screwing things up. I'm sure you could load the geometry, but your characters would most likely show up in the wrong part of the map, off in blackspace.

I'll have to try it. Im hoping... that your character would auto spawn on location 0,0... assuming that would be on the stage. Which means it would only work on 1 side. Heh its worth a shot.. I can always reverse it.

I just have to figure out what the zones are called.

Edit: I just looked on Zone Viewer, the platform on the good side is location 0,0,0... their may be some truth to this :P

I just tried it.. didn't work. I think theres something in the eqg file that specifies where your characters spawn, based on light or dark, etc. Forcing it to load the old s3d's just resulted in the characters in grey space.

Ah dang, was worth a shot. Thanks. I wish there was a way to alter eqg files without royally F-ing things up.

Edit: That being said.. Is it possible to extract eqg files from the original, or Kunark disc?
