Default MQ OT Hammer Question

Can Enchanters MQ the OT hammer to other people? I wasn’t sure if Mez works if someone turns in the Jade while the mob is mezzed, or will mez break? Can the MQ only be done with puppet strings? I was told only the person who charms the mob can give it a Jade and receive hammer.

Yeah has to have faction, which you get by charming it yourself. Like amiable I think, so if only mez’d would still con scowling but just not attack...

You need amiable for this quest... If you charm a mob it becomes amiable for yourself, but indifferent to others, so yes, puppet string only... That also means that enchanters, bards and necro can get free hammer for themselves.

Mezzed mobs are not unconscious. They just can't attack or move while mezzed.

To illustrate the point, suppose we are both KoS to some mob. I mez it from outside proximity aggro range, then while it is mezzed you run right by it. You just aggroed the mob, because it saw you run by. It just couldn't do anything about it because mez is OP.
