I saw several of them last year - but very few in the last 6-8 months.

I also thank you for the double XP weekend. It actually effectively brought me back to P99. I had not played in 6 - 8 months, but this weekend I got a few levels on my necro alt and am now once again feeling that special EQ longing sensation for more...

When it comes down to EQ or spending the day with my 76 year old dad, it's a no brainer.

Regardless of age, if you chose to play EQ rather than spend time with your dad or kids on Sunday, I really suggest you take stock of what kind of person you are.
