Long-time Dream Server!

Hey everyone,

Please excuse me if this post seems out of no-where, or if you're all sick of these kinds of posts or if this isn't the right place to post it, but bear with me because I think this does belong here.

First of all, I haven't played Everquest since Planes of Power came out. That expansion had a lot of changes to the game that ruined it for me. As well, my Everquest experience was a little unusual in that I had absolutely no interest in any PvE servers and only ever played on Sullon Zek. Sullon Zek for those who don't remember had no level range restrictions in pvp and was split up into 3 teams based on faith.

Every couple years I try (and fail) to figure out how to host a recreation (or similar) of Sullon Zek pre-PoP. Here I am again, and this time I am reaching out for help.

I am not a coder or programmer or anything of the sort, but do know someone who would be willing to help with all that.

A friend of a friend of mine told me there's been some database released now that has made it easier/simpler for people to get their own classic red servers up and running?

Whether or not this is true, I'd appreciate any links or resources that might help me actually accomplish my dream of getting this server going. If that's something I can do, I intend to keep hosting this server until I'm dead. I mean that, genuinely.

Can anyone help this nostalgia-huffing smooth-brain?
