Monster Summoning 1
I am asking this while in complete and total denial about testing it a few times on my own, but.. does Monster Summoning 1 Dual Wield on its own?

no, mage pets don't DW free hand until 39 and the fact that you cant give the monster summon pet weapons, makes it worthless pet. I never used it once in combat

I believe the highest level 39 pet (both necro and mage) can dual wield, but lower levels can not. Never truly tested it though.

It seems to me the trend is when the PET is level 25 it can duel wield. This seemed to be the case on my SK at least.

I have tested and any pet summoned by the lvl 24 spells for a mage will dual wield with weapons (albeit with a really low chance to trigger) and 29 necro pets will dual wield the same. Only the highest level pet summoned by the lvl 39 spells for both mage and necro can dual wield without weapons. All pets summoned by the lvl 44+ spells for both mage and necro will dual wield. | |||

I know Monster Summoning 2 is suggested due to having the same HP as 57 earth. Is MS1 viable at 34? Any reason to use?

In a group it's like 10x more fun than an elemental so that's reason enough [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
