Does a larger mana pool increase meditation efficiency?
The best way I can visualize this is to picture an enormous mana pool, let’s say 10,000 mana. Would it take forever and a half to meditate that sized mana pool to full, or does meditate “tick” the same % of a mana pool no matter how large the mana pool becomes?

The answer to the first part of your question is yes. Meditation is not percentage based. You gain a set amount of mana per skill level in Meditate. I think at 60 I get 21 mana per tick while meditating. So, for your example of 10,000 mana it would require 477 ticks to get to 100%.

I guess if meditate was a percentage, +int gear would become much more useful. As it is now, it seems to only be helpful in situations where you can med to full which, unless someone is going afk to do it, I imagine a lot of people don’t have the patience to do...

People have patience to stare at a wall for 16 hours. EQ is, if nothing else, a game of patience.

Until patience runs out, then it's a game of rage quit.

It's not about the size of your Mana Pool...it's how you use it.
