Default Bard AOE Kiting with a Xbox Controller

Thinking of starting up a bard for AOE kiting. I've tried the traditional keyboard/mouse techniques. In my opinion, that's just too painful and uncomfortable. I've got a spare xbox controller and some software (Xpadder) that allows for the mapping of controller input to the keyboard/mouse. Any advice of what the best keyboard/mouse mappings would be for AOE kiting?

All you need is auto run, selos, both dots, and heal bound to a key.

You could also make the mouse click mapped so you can swap instruments.

I set strafe left and strafe right to a key, hit auto run and steer with mouse. No sow or selos. So you just hold strafe left or right down and move with mouse.

This is how I used to aoe kite, but I don't know if that weird directional stuff will be possible on a controller. Might have to learn to tap.

I've been fooling around with it some today. Here's my current setup:

Left stick: WASD
Right stick: mouse
Select: Autorun
Start: Inventory
A, B, Y, X: Songs 1, 2, 3, 4
Left shoulder: Attack
Right shoulder: Tab (for targeting)
Left trigger: left click
Right trigger: right click

Works pretty well and seems responsive. Can't say how good it is for AOE kiting. Only level 3 on my Bard and have never AOE kited before.

Looks good. I would probably do the bumpers or triggers for the songs, since they will be getting clicked a ton.

You may want to make some hotkeys that only require one click to stop the song and start a new one.

I wonder if an autofire controller with W bound to it could be set to just auto loop you in a perfect bard circle...

Sounds bannable though.

How do you mean swap instruments with a mapping? Thought you couldn't swap instruments with a hotkey / macro combination. Or are you talking about setting a script to execute a move, click, move, click.

You could just make one of the buttons be the mouse click, put one instrument in, put the other on the mouse and hover it over the slot so your left click will switch them.
