This is probably all about Zuckerberg jumping the Green New Deal bandwagon. It's his method of joining the socialists to change the change that's on its way. Before he gets a EU style shellacking (not that that's over with).

I'm guessing some kind of crypto would be the best evasion scheme. Unless you want to start burring gold in the woods or something. And it could probably be done without having to sell too early. The other option is moving to Russia or China. I don't think -- if everything goes to shit -- anyone is putting up with the wealthy just moving to Spain or something. America has a far reach and other countries would likely see the mutual benefit of preventing the flight of the rich in their countries. But you never go for the smaller guys first. You take out the big threats when the game changes and consolidate power.

I try not to bitch as much about everything going wrong for the working class. I don't talk about socialism rising with any gusto anymore. That's all old news at this point. The fact that socialism might win out means that it will likely happen the way it often does. Things get moderately better for the working poor (that's their payoff to society) and the players shift. Away from those currently doing "well" but not ruling. Even some of those ruling. But some of those in the ruling class will hold into their influence and wealth. I used have some stupid notion the surveillance state might be pushed against. I don't think so anymore. That's exactly where were heading. Social credit systems. Monetized internet. No online anonymity. So I'm going to go ahead and guess big Tech isn't going to slow down, isn't going to be reigned in. And the people running those companies don't care about anyone holding on to their wealth but themselves. I'm not sure what they plan to do, but that probably what will be the best bet in the longrun. This all very simple spitballing one beer in. But I'm a few years away at least from actually being able to say something particularly useful to someone like you. I think about finance like dictators and politicians do. "wheres the money" "how do we get it" "who do we have to pay off to keep it" "what do we do with the surplus?" There's always one rule never to forget though. It's the military that actually has the power to use force. Their only weakness is they don't actually like to govern anything. They just pick who to serve.
