Words can't cause harm.

Nefarious underpinnings - now I'm waiting for the book.

If you stop to consider the motives of an aggressor you will likely be taken down before you get another chance to defend yourself.

The history of massive spending increases under unified Republican control of government is likely to repeat itself. During the presidential campaign, President-elect Donald Trump came out against reducing spending on “entitlements.” He also called for a variety of spending increases, including spending one trillion dollars on infrastructure.

President-elect Trump has criticized the past two administrations’ reckless foreign policy, and he has publicly shamed the powerful Lockheed Martin company for wasting taxpayer money. Yet, he continues to support increasing the military budget and has called for increased military intervention in the Middle East.

obongo had majorities once too and he couldn't even close gitmo despite trying very earnestly to because he's a good man. the system is rigged so not even a very good ethnic president can make a difference, we need to invest more power in the office of president and give him or her more unilateral authority so we can be freer.

I actually don't mind toll roads so long as as the price remains high enough that sufficient people are deterred from utilizing and contesting them.

This is a super good point, one to which I think more and more Americans on both sides of the isle are waking up to. If Obama had a bit more latitude, he could have done a lot more. Both sides have finally woken up to the largely untapped potency of SCOTUS through which the executive arm can enact significant change, but that is super slow.

Executive Orders are extraordinarily flexible and while many like to credit Obama with being some sort of pioneer with them, he didn't really differ from other recent presidents. Take a look at FDR. There was a man who knew how to legislate. More recent leaders don't have that sort of conviction though :c They all too busy complaining about the other side rather than understanding them and acting in their best interest along with the rest of the nation's. It's time we stop hobbling our leaders and let them lead (once we get a good one that is).

I should add though that while toll roads make sense by associating use with funding, they are not good policy because they are more burdensome on mid-lower income peoples whose money is better spent on sandwiches and dvds than whored between various government entities until it's empty husk is ultimately returned to corporate America.

The only real downside to Trump is how friendly he is with a particular country responsible for genocide, fake news, market manipulation, aggressive expansion, extortion, and the steering of other country's foreign and trade policies.
